Ravi Kishan is one of the leading actors of Bhojpuri film industry today. Born on 17 July, 1971 as Ravi Kishan Shukla, in Kerakat Tehsil, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, he is popularly known as Ravi Kishan.
He is a popular actor and TV personality, who works in Bhojpuri and mainstream Hindi cinema. In the year 2006, he participated in the popular television reality show, Big Boss.
Career
In 2008, at the ETV Bhojpuri Cinema Samman function, Ravi Kishan was awarded the Most Popular Actor Award. He has hosted some popular television reality shows like “Ek Se Badhkar Ek” and participated in Big Boss, which made him one of the top Indian television actors

In 2008, he co-hosted a reality show Bathroom Singer, a celebrity dance based reality show. He also hosted two seasons of the reality show “Raaz Pichle Janam Ka” on NDTV Imagine. He has worked with famous movie directors like Shyam Benegal and Mani Ratnam in the year 2010.
In 2010, Cannes Film Festival, a film starring Ravi Kishan, Jala Debh Duniya Tohra Pyar Mein, produced by American film company PUN Films, was showcased in the India Pavilion.
Dubbing Career
In 2007, Ravi Kishan dubbed for the lead character Toby Mcguire for his role in the movie Spider-Man. This was the first Hollywood movie to be dubbed in Bhojpuri along with Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Personal Life
Married to Preeti, Ravi Kishan has a son and three daughters. His parents live in his hometown of Bisuin, Jaunpur of Uttar Pradesh. He was also romantically linked to his co-star Nagma, who has acted in Bhojpuri movies.
