Megastar Manoj Tiwari is concerned about the deteriorating standard of songs in Bhojpuri. The superstar has raised concern on the vulgarity in the songs today and demanded that an independent censor board should be set up to curb it.
The superstar who was there to attend the Vikramshila Mahotsav while speaking to the media said that to stop the vulgarity in the songs a censor board should be set up and those promoting vulgar songs should be punished. He said that no language itself is vulgar; to an extent some words can be vulgar. He said that people in Bihar have always appreciated art and have also made folk music popular even outside India in countries like, Fiji, Maurtitius and Suriname.
The superstar said that folk music is special and in this the artists and listeners compliment each other.
