Bhojpuri scholar, an eminent Film critic and one of the most prominent modern Bhojpuri poet Manoj Bhawuk will be representing Bhojpuri Language in Mauritius from 30th October to 4th November, 14 on the occasion of the 180th Anniversary of the Arrival of Indentured Labourers in Mauritius.
On a special invitation from the Mauritian Government the ICCR has chosen Manoj Bhawuk to be amongst the speakers from all over the world who will be speaking on the Bhojpuri Cinema and Media in this 6 day event. Not only this but he will also be hosting and reciting his poetry in the Kavi Sammelan.
Manoj Bhawuk has many feathers on his cap along with awards like Bhartiya Bhasha Parishad, BhauRao Devras and Bhikhari Thakur. Not only in India but he has been a promoter of Bhojpuri language and Literature in countries like UK, Uganda and Nepal.
Amongst his many efforts in the promotion of the Bhojpuri Language his two popular books are “Tasveer Zindagi Ke” and “Chalani mein Paani”. Currently Manoj Bhawuk is working on his next books which will be a delight to the Bhojpuri Lovers.
